This report provides a comprehensive compilation of the data on extra-thoracic (ET) retention and ET clearance from a human volunteer study of nasal clearance conducted at the Health Protection Agency (HPA).

A summary of the experimental methods and programme of the study is given. It is not intended to review the results of the study but rather provide a complete set of data in one publication. References are given to published work in which results are analysed.
