This guidance is for people who have been diagnosed with mpox or who are waiting for an mpox test result and have been advised to self-isolate at home.

The guidance provides information on how to reduce the risk of passing on mpox to others within your household. This includes separate guidance on cleaning your house during your isolation and at the end of your isolation period.

Separate guidance for contacts of a case of mpox, information on mpox vaccination and background information on mpox is available.
