The England action plan sets out how ‘Modernising scientific careers’ will be implemented, working with strategic health authorities (SHAs) and other key stakeholders to ensure a phased approach.

The pace of change will depend on local SHA priorities in managing transition. A joint Department of Health and NHS England implementation board will strategically oversee and coordinate implementation arrangements reflecting the partnership approach.
