This document explains the government’s approach to attracting private investment for nature recovery and sustainable growth. It sets out existing and emerging policy on nature markets, nature finance and place-based delivery.

It explains how the government will:

• increase investment in nature and climate resilience by creating demand across the built environment, water sector and agri-food supply chain
• strengthen confidence in nature markets through clearer standards, rules and market oversight
• support local areas to develop investment-ready projects through capacity building and practical support
