This notice should be read in conjunction with the merchant shipping and fishing vessels (health and safety at work) regulations 1997, as amended and replaces MGN 616 (M+F) amendment 6.

This notice gives guidance for companies and employers regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus).

In this notice “shipowner” includes fishing vessel owner and “seafarers” includes fishermen.

Amendment 7 ensures consistency with current UK government guidance.

This MIN expires 30th June 2022.
