This notice should be read in conjunction with MGN 533 (M) (Corrigendum) Means of access the Merchant Shipping and Fishing Vessels (Health and Safety at Work) Regulations 1997 (S.I. 1997/2967).

The Merchant Shipping (Means of Access) Regulations 1988 have been revoked, and this notice replaces the statutory duties in those regulations.
