We have a series of training films and other guidance material to assist in the security training of personnel working at UK ports This applies to:
- passenger ships and cargo ships engaged on international voyages
- port facilities that service international passenger and cargo ships
- certain other domestic ships and associated port facilities on the basis of risk assessments, as extended by UK regulations
Requesting training materials
Training materials are only available for:
- Department for Transport (DfT) accredited Port Facility Security Officer training providers and with agreement of DfT, those giving training to port security staff
- Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) approved training providers for Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping (STCW) security training and with agreement of the MCA vessel owners and operators giving onboard security training to vessel crews
