Improvements

New batch template and exception screens

  • New batch template 3A which includes UCI and UPN fields (portal only).
  • MiddleOtherNames field renamed to MiddleNames.
  • Latest Validation Tool to accept 3A schema.
  • AbilityToShare field has been replaced with PrivacyNoticeSeen and will only accept values 0 (No) and 1(Yes). The value of 2 (FPN seen and unable to share data) is no longer applicable.
  • Introducing a new return code, ‘RC012 Incorrect identifier format’. This will be returned when the format of the UCI and/or UPN is in the incorrect format.
  • After selecting ‘Process’ for exceptions (RC006-RC008) the optional fields are populated if they were included in the batch.
  • After selecting ‘Process’ for exceptions (RC009-RC013) the optional fields are displayed and can be searched on.
  • Where optional fields were included in the batch and a new learner is registered, these fields are pre-populated.
  • Where optional fields were included in the batch and a learner is updated, the fields will be updated (except for the UPN).
  • The exported exceptions will work for 3A batch files but will still display 2A as the file version and will not include the UCI or UPN.

New password format

A new password format has been introduced for user accounts. Exiting passwords will continue to work but new passwords must now be at least eight characters long and must be made up of at least three of the following four character types:

  • an upper case letter
  • a lower case letter
  • a number
  • a special character

Defect fixes

  • Milliseconds will no longer be returned in web service calls.
  • Cleanse postcodes of invalid characters.
  • Exception RC011, where batch file has an invalid value for Ability To Share, processing the exception will no longer result in an unexpected error
