The Department of Health (DH) is leading on the development of a cross-government long term conditions (LTCs) outcomes strategy. The strategy will consider how people through help can prevent LTCs where possible and delay their onset.

DH commissioned the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement to facilitate an accelerated design event to gather information on development of the outcomes strategy. This event was held in London on 14 and 15 of March 2012.

The strategy is expected to be published towards the end of 2012.
