Details

The direct award franchise agreement between the Secretary of State for Transport and London & Birmingham Railway Limited dated 2 December 2015. This single tender direct award to London & Birmingham Railway Limited was announced by the Transport Minister on 3 December 2015.

This agreement replaced the previous London Midland 2007 franchise agreement.

On 10 December 2017, the direct award franchise agreement between the Secretary of State for Transport and London & Birmingham Railway Limited, dated 2 December 2015, terminated. West Midlands Trains Limited took over the running of West Midlands services from 10 December 2017 with a franchise agreement made on 8 September 2017. We will be publishing a redacted version of this franchise agreement in 2019.
