You need a licence to sell any of the animals and plants listed in schedule 5 and schedule 8 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and in annex II (b) and IV of the EU Habitats Directive.

Licences are free. Allow up to 30 working days for a licensing decision to be made.

How to report your actions

You’re required to report any actions you took under this licence to Natural England using the report form template available on this page. You need to complete the report no later than 2 weeks after your licence expires, even if you’ve taken no action.
