Following the publication of the Curriculum and Assessment Review Final Report and the associated government response, future assessment arrangements are under review in line with the relevant recommendations. Assessment arrangements for the academic year 2025 to 2026 will remain unchanged.
This framework is for contributors to the English reading key stage 2 national curriculum test. Key stage 2 teachers may also find it useful.
It gives detailed information to ensure an appropriate test is developed, including the:
- content domain
- cognitive domain
- test specification
This framework supports the development of the 2016 national curriculum tests.
