Details

The Joint Committee on Human Rights launched their inquiry into freedom of speech in universities in November 2017. The Commission gave oral evidence and submitted two separate pieces of written evidence to the inquiry, which are published here.

This evidence covers the charity law framework, the fiduciary duties of trustees, the meaning of ‘advancement of education’ in charity law, and the charity law framework as applied to students’ unions.
