This memorandum of understanding (MOU) is between the Home Office, the Health and Social Care Information Centre (now known as NHS Digital) and the Department of Health.
The MOU formalises existing arrangements for the Home Office to make disclosure requests to NHS Digital for the purpose of tracing immigration offenders and vulnerable people who may be at risk.
The names of junior officials have been redacted in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
The MOU came into effect on 1 January 2017 and was renewed by the 3 parties on 20 December 2017.
