Details

The Cost Optimisation Model for Industry Technologies (COMIT) is a computer model that finds the lowest cost pathway for meeting the energy needs of UK industry from now until 2050.

This report provides a summary of the model and estimates of some key characteristics of the industry technologies used.

COMIT was formerly known as the Net Zero Industrial Pathways Model 2 (NZIP2). All references to NZIP2 in the report should be read as referring to COMIT.
