This triennial review of the Independent Agricultural Appeals Panel (IAAP) was announced by Written Ministerial Statement on 15 December 2011.

The review has been conducted in accordance with the Cabinet Office Guidance on reviews of non-departmental public bodies. It is the first such review undertaken by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
