It should be read alongside the statutory guidance and is designed to help everyone to implement working together to safeguard children and the children’s social care national framework, to improve practice with children, young people and families. Leaders should apply this guidance to their local context.  

It may also be useful for parents and carers and children and young people who are receiving support from children’s social care.
