HS2 Phase One environmental statement volume 5: traffic and transport

These documents have been published as part of the HS2 Phase One environmental statement for the route between London and the West Midlands. The environmental statement was produced to accompany the HS2 Phase One hybrid Bill.

This appendix presents the traffic and transport effects of Phase One of HS2 including:

  • the transport assessment which assesses the traffic and transport effects of the Phase One of HS2 on all relevant modes of transport, including cars, goods vehicles, public transport, equestrians, walking and cycling, waterways and air
  • potential transport mitigation measures that might be necessary to address the more significant effects
  • maps showing the significant residual transport effects from Phase One of HS2

  • map series TR-01 shows the operational impacts arising from the 4 new stations
  • map series TR-03 shows the significant residual transport effects arising in each area from construction lorry routes
  • map series TR-04 shows the significant residual transport effects arising from operation of Phase One of HS2
