HS2 Phase One environmental statement volume 5: agriculture, forestry and soils

These documents have been published as part of the HS2 Phase One environmental statement for the route between London and the West Midlands. The environmental statement was produced to accompany the HS2 Phase One hybrid Bill.

This appendix sets out soil and agricultural land classification surveys, forestry inventory data and assessments of the temporary and permanent effects on individual agricultural holdings for community forum areas (CFA) along the HS2 Phase One route.

Data reports

These reports are specific to individual CFAs. A map depicting each CFA along the route is available in the Introduction to the environmental statement.

Map book

This map book contains 2 map series:

  • map series AG-01 shows the predicted quality of agricultural land within the consolidated construction boundary, and the boundaries of the farm and forestry holdings assessed and the main operational buildings associated with these holdings
  • map series AG-02 shows the soil associations (groups of similar soil types) within a 4km corridor centred on Phase One of HS2, using data from the ‘National soil map’
