Details

This guidance covers:

  • whether a neighbourhood plan is right for your community or whether a different type of planning tool might be more appropriate
  • getting established, including designating a neighbourhood area or neighbourhood forum, building an evidence base and publicity and engagement
  • preparing a plan, including drafting the plan, meeting the basic conditions and pre-submission consultation
  • bringing the plan into force, including submission to the local planning authority, a final consultation, independent examination, referendum and adoption of the plan by the local planning authority
