Details

  • This fact sheet provides a summary of the proposed year of care pathway for an adult HIV outpatient services PbR currency. The aim of the pathway is to support the delivery of quality, safe and cost effective patient care aligning to BHIVA guidelines and maintaining the open access nature of sexual health services.

  • The clinical pathway is described as an outpatient based pathway however during the course of the currency development we have been made aware that there can be alternative settings for elements of the pathway. For example, psychological support provided in the community or a greater involvement by GPs.

  • Please note that this factsheet should be read in the context that a commissioning rules set of guidance is currently under development and a pricing methodology has yet to be agreed. As a result aspects of the following could change as feedback is received.

  • Please note that we are introducing a new currency for Adult HIV Outpatient care which will affect contracting arrangements but we are not, at this stage, introducing a national price.
