This paper looks at how we can improve the health and wellbeing of people in our towns and cities through the use of ‘green infrastructure’. It defines this as the network of natural features - green spaces, rivers and trees - that provide us with ecological services, such as flood protection.
The essay was commissioned as part of the Foresight future of cities project.
