Managing exposure to chemicals is one of the important goals in the UK government’s 25 Year Environment Plan.

As part of understanding progress towards that goal, we have an indicator on exposure and adverse effects of chemicals on wildlife in the environment (H4). This indicator is part of the 25 Year Environment Plan outcome indicator framework.

This is a supporting report to the publication of the interim H4 indicator. It summarises progress on the indicator’s development and provides the underlying analysis of exposure data for the interim H4 indicator dashboard.

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) publish yearly update reports for the 25 Year Environment Plan outcome indicator framework.
