This document summarises findings from the 3-year evaluation of the adoption support fund. The evaluation took place approximately 6 years after we established the adoption support fund to meet the therapeutic needs of children who left care through adoption or a special guardianship order.
The evaluation included:
- a 3-wave longitudinal survey of adoptive parents and special guardians relating to a child receiving support from the adoption support fund
- qualitative longitudinal interviews with a sample of these adoptive parents and special guardians
- longitudinal interviews with and a survey of adoption support fund provider organisations
