This report is part of a 3-year evaluation of the adoption support fund. It covers findings from qualitative interviews with adoptive parents and special guardian carers.

A small number of families were asked in-depth about:

  • child and family characteristics and needs
  • their experiences of seeking help through the adoption support fund
  • how satisfied they were with the support they received
  • the perceived consequences of the support on the children and their families
  • any outstanding unmet needs
