EMETNET provides a simple, efficient and robust methodology to enable the rapid assessment of risks and impacts of emerging environmental threats. This can be used to:
- support the selection of experts and assets deployed to affected regions
- provide a snapshot assessment to experts deployed to disaster zones
- support the transmission of specific information to and from the disaster zone
A network of expert risk assessors will be set up to carry out this rapid risk assessment and will also be available to provide back-office support to experts in the field.
