Following the Home Secretary’s announcement, this policy paper explains the time-limited transitional immigration arrangements for EU citizens arriving in the UK after free movement has ended if the UK leaves the EU without a deal.

It is not concerned with those EU citizens who are residing in the UK before the UK’s exit from the EU. Further information about these arrangements can be found on GOV.UK.
