This document assesses the impact of new GCSE content in English literature, English language and mathematics with reference to the protected characteristics of pupils or students.

The relevant protected characteristics are:

  • disability
  • gender reassignment
  • pregnancy and maternity
  • race
  • religion or belief
  • sex
  • sexual orientation
