In this letter to Edward Davey, the Council for Science and Technology (CST) introduce a report on Britain’s electricity supply prepared for them by the Royal Academy of Engineering. The study looks at the country’s capacity margin, the level by which available electricity generation capacity exceeds the maximum expected level of demand.
