This direction required the council to work with the Department for Education (DfE) and Frankie Sulke who was appointed Commissioner for Barnet by the Secretary of State.
It followed a report by Ofsted that judged the overall effectiveness of the council’s children’s social care services to be inadequate.
This direction has closed. A direction issued by DfE on 25 January 2018 replaces it.
