Details

The survey covers public attitudes, awareness and behaviours relating to policies under the remit of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) (and formerly BEIS) such as energy, climate change and net zero. Verian, formerly Kantar Public, an independent research organisation, has been commissioned to conduct this survey on behalf of DESNZ.

The survey began in March 2012 and ran on a quarterly basis. The survey now runs 3 times a year following consultation with users over Summer 2023. A new methodology was adopted from Autumn 2021 onwards. The methodology is described in detail in this Technical Report, together with key information for the Winter 2024, Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 waves.
