These are the CFD Standard Terms and Conditions and front-end CFD Agreements issued by the Secretary of State on 13 March 2017 for the second CFD Allocation Round.

Each CFD Contract issued in the second Allocation Round will comprise two components:

  • The specific front-end CFD Agreement; and
  • The Standard Terms and Conditions.

The generic CFD Agreement forms the front section of the CFD Contract and contains project-specific information that tailors the application of the Standard Terms and Conditions. CFD Applicants should select this CFD Agreement, unless one of the other published variations is required, i.e. the phased (apportioned and single metering) terms and private network terms.

Changes have been made to the versions used in the first allocation round following the public consultations in 2016 and 2015.

We have also published a note explaining the changes to the CFD Standard Terms further to regulation 4(i) of the Contracts for Difference (Standard Terms) Regulations 2014 (as amended).
