Civil Service reform plan
The government’s plan to make the Civil Service more skilled, less bureaucratic and more unified.
This document sets out the main actions needed to make the Civil Service more economic and provide faster services to the public. It is a working document and the first stage of a continuing programme of reform.
Parts of the reform plan apply to all civil servants, though the devolved administrations in Scotland and Wales have, or will have, complementary plans.
