On 19 June 2012, the Minister for the Cabinet Office and Head of the Civil Service jointly published the Civil Service Reform Plan, which set out a series of specific and practical actions to bring about an exceptional civil service that is more skilled, less bureaucratic and more unified in order to deliver the best for Britain.

To mark the anniversary of this publication, the Cabinet Office has published the Civil Service Reform: one year on report, which provides a candid assessment of overall progress on implementing the 18 actions in the original plan. To support this milestone, we have published a short summary of implementation progress within the Cabinet Office.
