This study provides an in-depth exploration of a small number of serious case reviews and looks at how social workers’ knowledge on child development might have affected the case and the outcomes for the children.

There were 6 case studies selected in total. These were selected to include a wide age range with proportionately more younger children to reflect the expected age balance.
