Child and family practitioners' understanding of child development
An exploration of serious case reviews and how practitioners’ knowledge of child development may affect outcomes for children.
This study provides an in-depth exploration of a small number of serious case reviews and looks at how social workers’ knowledge on child development might have affected the case and the outcomes for the children.
There were 6 case studies selected in total. These were selected to include a wide age range with proportionately more younger children to reflect the expected age balance.
