The government is setting out how the UK will benefit from lower bills, skilled jobs, warmer homes and cleaner air, as it sets out its plan to deliver on a clean energy future.
The Carbon Budget and Growth Delivery Plan sets out how the UK will continue to reduce emissions in a way that lowers bills and secures good jobs, in line with the 2008 Climate Change Act. Since the UK introduced it, there has been success around the world with 60 other countries now adopting their own climate legislation.
As part of the delivery plan package we have also published:
- the Government’s plan for how we are unlocking the benefits of the clean energy economy
- the Government’s response to the Climate Change Committee’s (CCC) 2025 Progress Report in Reducing Emissions
- an Investor Prospectus, outlining where and how investors can support the UK’s net zero transition by highlighting policy-backed, high-impact investment opportunities
- the UK’s Methane Action Plan, outlining the actions the UK government is taking to reduce methane emissions in the UK and globally
