Details

In June 2025, the Climate Change Committee (CCC) published its Annual Progress Report to Parliament in reducing emissions.

The government response to the CCC report sets out:

  • the government’s action and future plans to respond to the CCC’s 43 recommendations to the UK government
  • the proactive progress being taken by devolved governments in response to the CCC’s 52 recommendations to devolved governments

The government response is published alongside the Carbon Budget and Growth Delivery Plan, which sets out how the government will meet statutory carbon budgets, and secure the benefits of this transition for people and businesses.

The government has also published its response to the CCC’s 2025 report on progress in adapting to climate change.
