Caprine and ovine (live): model health certificates

Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export live caprine and ovine to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

From 1 January 2021, live caprine and ovine exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters in EU and non-EU countries should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificates GBHC015X, GBHC015E, and GBHC630

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC015X from 1 January 2021.

EU countries must use certificate GBHC015E from 1 January 2021.

All countries must use certificate GBHC630 from 30 April 2024.

Model health certificate for domestic ovine animals (Ovis aries) and domestic caprine animals (Capra hircus) intended for breeding and/or production after importation (Regulation 206/2010) (OVI-X).

Certificates GBHC016X, GBHC016E, and GBHC631

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC016X from 1 January 2021.

EU countries must use certificate GBHC016E from 1 January 2021.

All countries must use certificate GBHC631 from 30 April 2024.

Model health certificate for domestic ovine animals (Ovis aries) and domestic caprine animals (Capra hircus) intended for immediate slaughter after importation (Regulation 206/2010) (OVI-Y).

  1. GBHC015E amended and replaced with new version and updated the version history document.

  2. Uploaded new version of certificate GBHC015E. Updated the version history document.

  3. We have published new streamlined certificates which replace those currently in use: - GBHC630 OVI-X: Domestic sheep or goats for breeding or production (replaces GBHC015X and GBHC015E) - GBHC631 OVI-Y: Domestic sheep or goats for slaughter (replaces GBHC016X and GBHC016E)

  4. Updated certificate GBHC015E and the version history document.

  5. Multiple changes have been made: 1. Amended box 1.2.a in certificates GBHC015E and GBHC016E. A unique notification number (UNN) needs to be included in this box. 2. Amended the version history notes for certificates GBHC015E ,GBHC015X, GBHC016E and GBHC016X. The previous version of each certificate will continue to be accepted until 1 April 2023.

  6. Updated certificates GBHC015X, GBHC015E, GBHC016X and GBHC016E.

  7. We've updated certificates GBHC015X and GBHC016X.

  8. Updated model health certificates GBHC015E and GBHC015X.

  9. Added a version history of changes to model health certificates.
