British Embassy Luanda has opened call for bids for micro-project proposals for the 2014/2015 financial year, within the framework bilateral cooperation with Angola .

With aim to affirm our commitment to the high-level partnership between Angola and the United Kingdom, the micro-projects should be based on activities in the following categories:

  • Work in support of delivering sustainable and widely accessible prosperity including improving the investment environment in Angola based on transparency, accountability and building capacity measured by improvement in the ease of doing business indicators and World Bank figures;

  • Work in support of Angola’s regional and international aspirations in particular operating in international and regional fora;

  • Work in support of Angolan accession to new international commitments and to improving implementation of existing international commitments, norms and standards e.g. Human rights and good governance.

  • Work in support of key priority areas for the UK government including but not limited to Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative (PSVI), actions in support of Illegal Wildlife Trade conference conclusions, and Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.

  • Work in support of Angola’s desire to diversify specifically including in the areas of education, agriculture, and financial and business services.

All interested parties should send proposals until 12 pm on April 7, using the attached bid form and ensuring that these are in line with the objectives set out above and in the call for bids letter.
