Bovine meat model health certificates: version history

Applies to England, Scotland and Wales

Competent authorities must provide a health certificate to exporters of animals and animal products to Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

Competent authorities should use the updates below to make changes to health certificates for exporters to ensure they are in line with the current version of the model health certificates.

Version 3.2

Published January 2023:

  • This certificate will be accepted until 29 April 2024. This is the last date (inclusive) that this certificate will be accepted, based on the date it was signed, not the date the consignment arrives in Great Britain.

  • II.2.2: added wording to the end of second bullet ‘and have been resident in the territory from which they were moved since birth, or for at least 3 months before slaughter’

Version 3.1

Published August 2022 - accepted until 1 August 2023:

  • II.1.9: replaced references to Decision 2007/453 in each place it occurs with references to Regulation 999/2001 and indicated that the BSE risk status information is now set out in a document published on gov.uk.
  • Notes: replaced references to Annex 2 of 206/2010 in each place it occurs with references to documents published on gov.uk in accordance with 206/2010
