Bovine meat: model health certificates

Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export bovine meat to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

  1. GBHC300 has been amended and a new certificate published. See the version history for details.

  2. All old versions of certificates have been removed.

  3. AH/E016C, AH/E370 and AH/A723B have been removed from GBHC300 as they where added in error.

  4. We have updated certificate GBHC300. We have updated the 'use from' date for certificate GBHC300. Use from date for EU changed to 31 January 2024. Use from date for non-EU countries changed to 30 April 2024.

  5. We have replaced all EU certificates ending in E with new certificates that can be used by all countries. EU countries must use the new certificates from 31 October 2023. Non-EU countries can continue using certificates ending in X or start using the new certificates. We will communicate the deadline for switching to the new certificates in due course.

  6. Updated certificates GBHC070E and GBHC070X and the version history.

  7. Amended the version history notes for certificate GBHC070X. The 3.0 version will continue to be accepted until 1 April 2023. Uploaded new version for GBHC070E and amended the version history.

  8. Certificate 206/2010 GBHC070X has been updated.

  9. Certificate GBHC070E should now be used from 31 December 2023. It was previously due to come into effect on 1 July 2022.

  10. We’ve updated certificate GBHC070X.

  11. Added a version history of changes to model health certificates.

  12. Updated bovine meat model health certificates 206/2010 GBHC070X and 206/2010 GBHC070E.

  13. Changed the date that some of the forms should be used to 1 July 2022.

  14. Updated the certificate bovine fresh meat/minced meat BOV from non-EU countries 206/2010 GBHC070X.

  15. Updated the certificate bovine fresh meat/minced meat BOV from non-EU countries 206/2010 GBHC070X.

  16. Edited certificate 206/2010 GBHC070E - this will now come into use 1 October 2021.

Bovine meat exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificate GBHC300

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for fresh meat, including minced meat, of domestic bovine animals (including Bison and Bubalus species and their cross-breeds) (Regulation 206/2010) (BOV).
