Bovine germinal products: model health certificates
Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export bovine embryos to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Details
From 1 January 2021, bovine embryos exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.
Certificates GBHC003X, GBHC003E, and GBHC800
Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC003X from 1 January 2021.
EU countries must use certificate GBHC003E from 1 January 2021.
All countries must use certificate GBHC800 from 30 April 2024.
Model animal health certificate applicable to imports and transits of semen of domestic animals of the bovine species collected, processed and stored in accordance with Council Directive 88/407/EEC, dispatched from a semen collection centre where the semen was collected (Decision 2011/630) (SEM-BOV-CCM1).
Certificates GBHC004X, GBHC004E, and GBHC801
Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC004X from 1 January 2021.
EU countries must use certificate GBHC004E from 1 January 2021.
All countries must use certificate GBHC801 from 30 April 2024.
Model health certificate applicable from 1 Jan 2005 to imports and transits of stocks of semen of domestic animals of the bovine species collected, processed and stored before 31 Dec 2004 in conformity with Council Directive 88/407/EEC applying until 1 Jul 2004, and imported after 31 Dec 2004 in accordance with Article 2(2) of Directive 2003/43/EC, dispatched from a semen collection centre where the semen was collected (Decision 2011/630) (SEM-BOV-CCM2).
Certificates GBHC005X, GBHC005E, and GBHC802
Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC005X from 1 January 2021.
EU countries must use certificate GBHC005E from 1 January 2021.
All countries must use certificate GBHC802 from 30 April 2024.
Model health certificate for imports and transits of semen of domestic animals of the bovine species collected, processed and stored in accordance with Council Directive 88/407/EEC, and of stocks of semen of domestic animals of the bovine species collected, processed and stored before 31 Dec 2004 in conformity with Directive 88/407/EEC, applying until 1 Jul 2004, and imported after 31 Dec 2004 in accordance with Article 2(2) of Directive 2003/43/EC dispatched from a semen storage centre (Decision 2011/630) (SEM-BOV-CCM3).
Certificates GBHC006X, GBHC006E, and GBHC803
Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC006X from 1 January 2021.
EU countries must use certificate GBHC006E from 1 January 2021.
All countries must use certificate GBHC803 from 30 April 2024.
Model health certificate for imports of in vivo derived embryos of domestic animals of the bovine species collected in accordance with Council Directive 89/556/EEC (Decision 2006/168) (IVV-BOV).
Certificates GBHC007X, GBHC007E, and GBHC804
Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC007X from 1 January 2021.
EU countries must use certificate GBHC007E from 1 January 2021.
All countries must use certificate GBHC804 from 30 April 2024.
Model health certificate for imports of in vitro produced embryos of domestic animals of the bovine species conceived using semen complying with Council Directive 88/407/EEC (Decision 2006/168) (IVT-BOV-A).
Certificates GBHC008X, GBHC008E, and GBHC805
Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC008X from 1 January 2021.
EU countries must use certificate GBHC008E from 1 January 2021.
All countries must use certificate GBHC805 from 30 April 2024.
Model health certificate for imports of in vitro-produced embryos of domestic animals of the bovine species conceived using semen coming from semen collection or storage centres approved by the competent authority of the exporting country (Decision 2006/168) (IVT-BOV-B).
