Details

The evaluation of the opt-out BBV testing in EDs programme started in April 2022 and was funded by NHS England. It was rolled out across 34 EDs in areas of very high HIV prevalence in England. It is part of ongoing efforts towards the HIV Action Plan goal to reach zero new transmissions of HIV by 2030 and the elimination of hepatitis B and C as a major public health threat in the UK.
