Asylum seekers' applications refused In Bristol and the average processing time

  1. 36 asylum claimants have been refused at initial decision. It took on average 229 days for the Home Office to make an initial decision on these cases.

  2. 36 asylum claimants have become appeal rights exhausted (ARE). It took on average 300 days for these cases to become ARE.

  3. Since 1st October 2006 until 31st December 2013, 576 applicants have became ARE, of these 164 have been removed.

  4. Since 1st October 2006 until 31st December 2013, 636 applicants have lodged an appeal against their asylum deision.
