MOD response to a Freedom of Information request dated 14 November 2013 for annual strengths of the UK regular armed, including Gurkhas and full time reserve service from 1992 to 2012.

This also included a request for casualties figures for personnel who died whilst in-service and who were given a primary cause of death or had a contributory cause of death as cancer (including Multiple Myeloma Cancer).

The number of UK service personnel who deployed to the Gulf 1 conflict including serving personnel and veteran personnel with a cancer registration 1991 to 2012.

The number of UK serving personnel medically discharged with principal or a contributory cause of cancer (including Multiple Myeloma Cancer) 1995 to 2013.

For pensions and compensation this was to include the number of ex-service personnel

  • in receipt of an armed forces pension
  • in receipt of a war pension (including those with cancer)
  • the number service and ex-service personnel in receipt of Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (including cancer).
