  1. Part C1 updated. Added questions for new standard rule SR2024 No 2: using unbound incinerator bottom ash aggregate in construction and new small sewage discharge standard rules. Added additional site plan examples. Changed navigation and structure of the application form.

  2. New question on decarbonisation readiness added. Requirement removed for SR2024 No 1 applications to include a site plan. Links updated and changes made to navigation and structure of the application form. Changed title of form. Added combustion plant list spreadsheet.

  3. An extra navigation sentence has been added after question 3b.

  4. Updated the application form in a few ways. Updated the list of standard rules set or facility you are applying to add or change to. Added a new section on side condition reports and stage 1 to 3 assessments. Updated the technical competence section. Added a new section on removal of an entire standard rule activity. Added a new appendix with an example of a site plan. Removed the separate guidance document, as guidance has been added to the form itself.

  5. Updated both application form and guidance to delete the following SRs: 2015 No7; 2015 No9; 2015 No11 and 2015 No22.

  6. Updated guidance to add extra references to relevant Schedules in EP regulations and links to other guidance. Revised Appendices for waste treatment activities to relate to revised guidance. Update guidance with text to cover applying for multiple Standard Rules.

  7. This page has been updated by the Environment Agency as a result of the strategic review of charges. The review was consulted on between November 2017 and January 2018. The changes commence from April 2018.

  8. 'The application for an environmental permit Part C1 - Varying a permit – to change to or add a standard facility' has been updated.

  9. Form and guidance updated due to the publication of Standard Rule No 39.

  10. Amended for release of Environment Agency 2015 standard rules.

You only need to complete the combustion plant list spreadsheet if you are applying to add or change to a standard rules set that includes medium combustion plant. The application form will tell you if this applies.
