Details

This guidance provides an agreed set of shared responsibilities and reasonable expectations for young people, parents, businesses, employees and regulators with regard to the supply of age restricted products and services. Developed after extensive consultation and endorsed by a range of organisations, these principles have clear implications for businesses but also clarify what can be expected from regulators in return. They also form the foundation for the Age restricted products and services code of practice for regulatory delivery, developed by BRDO in collaboration with business and regulators.

The framework was published in November 2011 and updated in April 2014 to reflect the introduction of the statutory Regulators’ Code (replacing the Regulators’ Compliance Code). Its principles were not amended.
