Offers of accommodation from persons with 5 or fewer properties

Thank you for your interest in offering housing support to Afghans in the UK.

We will ask you questions about yourself and your property to help us decide if your offer is suitable for this scheme.

All properties must meet the essential criteria set by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) to ensure they are suitable for Afghan families. Any offers that do not meet these criteria by the time the property is available cannot be considered.

You will receive an email to confirm we have received your housing offer.

Your property details will be shared with potential tenants and they will be able to contact you through the local council or its preferred service provider. We will not share your contact details directly with potential tenants without your permission.

Are you offering a single property or multiple properties?

If you have between 1 and 5 properties to offer, select ‘Single property’ and complete the form for each property. If you have more than 5 properties to offer, are a landlord of houses of multiple occupation (HMOs) or represent any organisations, select ‘Multiple properties’

Section A – about the provider

Section B – essential eligibility criteria 

To be deemed appropriate for the scheme, properties must be able to meet the essential eligibility criteria by the time the property is available. Properties that are unable to meet these criteria will not be considered. Properties must:

1. Will the property be self-contained (i.e. for the sole use of one family)? (Yes/No) 

2. Is your property a hotel or a student hall of residence? (Yes/No) 

3. Does your property meet all of the following safety regulations and certifications: (Yes/No) 

  • Does the property have a valid gas safety certificate?
  • Does the property have a valid electrical safety certificate?
  • Does the property have a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)?
  • Does the property have working smoke alarms?
  • Does the property have working carbon monoxide alarms?
  • Is your property free from serious health and safety hazards?

4. (If no to question 3) Please provide a brief description of which safety regulations your property does not meet and why.

5. (If no to question 3) Can you guarantee the property will meet all the standard safety regulations and landlord responsibilities listed above by the time the property is available?

Section C – about the property 

Location

Please note, we require any housing offered through this portal to be available for at least 12 months initially.

6. Optional: Please provide a brief overview of any local amenities near to the property.

7. How many bedrooms does the property have?

8. How many reception rooms does the property have? 

9. Does the property have a private garden or shared outside space? (Either/or/no) 

10. What is the target rent per calendar month for the property?

If you are offering your property on a charitable basis, please enter ‘0’.

Section D - accessibility 

1. Does the property have any disability related adaptations? (Yes/no)

2. (If yes to question 1) What disability adaptations have been made? 

3. Is there a toilet/bathroom on the same level as the entrance to the property (or lift access to a bathroom/toilet on another floor)? (Yes/no) 

4. Would you be willing for adaptations to take place to the property? e.g. level access (Yes/no/maybe)

Multiple property offers

This form is for offering single properties only. You can offer up to 5 properties using this form, but you must complete it again for each property you want to offer.

If you wish to offer more than 5 properties, landlords of houses of multiple occupation (HMO s) and any organisations must email HousingPortal@levellingup.gov.uk with this information:

  • contact name
  • telephone number
  • a brief description of the properties being offered

We aim to respond to your offer within 5 working days.
