This report sets out progress that the Department for Transport (DfT) has made in implementing its accessibility action plan and equality action plan. The plans explain what DfT is doing to promote accessibility and an inclusive transport system and meet our equality objective and public sector equality duty.

The progress update is structured under headings including:

  • improving physical accessibility
  • information and communication
  • improving attitudes and behaviour towards vulnerable categories of passengers
  • monitoring and engagement

A previous progress update was published in December 2013.
