Passports and visas

British citizens do not need visas to enter Slovenia. Your passport should be in good condition and remain valid for the duration of your stay.

You should take out comprehensive travel insurance in addition to bringing your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). The EHIC will give you access to Slovene health care if you have an accident or suddenly fall ill. You will receive the necessary emergency treatment and medical care at reduced cost. However, it does not cover costs such as medical repatriation, extra costs for accommodation or tickets in case you are not fit to travel, or cover stolen property.

If your British passport is lost or stolen whilst in Slovenia, please contact the British Embassy for advice on how to get an Emergency Travel Document (ETD). Visits to the Consular Section are by appointment only.

Getting to the stadium

Public transport in Ljubljana will be free on match day for ticket holders from 3pm onwards. The number 13 bus runs directly to the stadium from the centre of Ljubljana. Special busses for England fans will operate from the city centre (Gosposvetska cesta) to the stadium from 3pm to 6pm and back from 8.30pm to 10pm.

At the match

England fans are seated in block D and should enter through gate 1 (Vhod1).

Access to the stadium can be slow - there will be ticket checks and body searches at the entrance. To avoid last minute bottleneck get to the stadium early - door will open at 4pm.
